San Carlos 2018-04
A group from Spanish Squid headed down to San Carlos 2018-04 on the 21st and 22nd dive trip. The roads have greatly improved since our last drive down to San Carlos. We met up with Alex and Ana Kory of Alexander’s / Dive Shop, Too and six others for the weekend’s dive trip.
Saturday morning, eight of us met at the Cortez Explorer, and headed to San Pedro Island. We dove at Bahia Elena for the first dive and at The Chute at South Point for the second dive. The water temperature was 66 degrees at the surface and 61 degrees at 70 foot depth. The visibility was about 25 feet. The Yellow Line Arrow Crabs where in abundance. We also saw Electric Rays, Mexican Dancers and plenty of Sea Stars.
Sunday morning, we stayed in for local diving. The first dive was at San Antonio, and the second dive was at Bahia Esmerelda. The water temperature was 63 degrees at the surface and 61 degrees at 40 foot depth. The visibility was about 30 feet. Here, we found a white spotted nudibranch, lots of Gray Morays, Tube Worms, Tunicates and a Fire Worm.
We all had a great time during the meal times, and looking forward to our next trip to San Carlos.
Take a look at the pictures of creatures we found during the dive.
