This Cozumel 2017 trip happened from the 7th to the 14th. A group of 15 enjoyed the weather, the company, the festivities, the food and the diving in Cozumel, Mexico. We spent a week at the beautiful Casa Del Mar Hotel & Dive Resort, where we enjoyed evening activities, such as Salsa Dance lessons, Karaoke and Costume Contest, and a Photo Contest.
The diving in Cozumel was fantastic, as expected. Warm, clear, blue water was experienced on almost every dive. We had a couple of dives with strong currents, which took us for a ride – one of the reasons to go diving in Cozumel. All sorts for critters, including Hawk’s Bill Turtles, Nurse Sharks, Large Green Moray Eels, and a huge Crab!
Below is the list of sites we dove from the boat during the trip:
All shore diving occurred in front of Casa Del Mar, the site is called Villa Blanca Cove. On each dive, the water temperature was 87 degrees. On some of the deep dives, the temperature lowered to 84 degrees.
Friday was a non-diving day for us. Some rested at the resort, some went into town to do some shopping, while others rented jeeps to tour the island.
A big thanks to all that was a part of this trip. Looking forward to another trip with this group again.
